Pwnagotchi: WiFi Deauthor

This was a project I did with my daughter. I got her interest by making it into a "Hacking" theme. This project was way more. For instance, the AI/Deep learning programing so the Pwnagotchi learns from previous networks to accelerate more proficient Hand-Shake captures. This project also highlights the way Wi-Fi works on the OSI layer with the Three-way handshake. To view the captures Wireshark was used. We 3D printed a case, used a Pi-Zero board and a PiSugar Battery and Hat. We affectionately named it ‘Kyapucha’ which means capture in Japanese.

Pwnagotchi is an A2C-based “AI” powered by bettercap and running on a Raspberry Pi Zero W that learns from its surrounding WiFi environment in order to maximize the crackable WPA key material it captures (either through passive sniffing or by performing deauthentication and association attacks). This material is collected on disk as PCAP files containing any form of handshake supported by hashcat, including full and half WPA handshakes as well as PMKIDs.
